7 Ball Feature - Gospel Gangstas

This was a feature story that I did for the now defunct 7 Ball Magazine. It was a piece on the Gospel Gangstas just as they had released their third album I can See Clearly Now.

I can say this however: after this album, they just didn't have the edge in their music that they had when they first came out. Actually, I would say this is the beginning of the of the decline.

I enjoyed doing this piece as I got a chance to actually interview them.

I've been a part-time freelance writer for over ten years, writing articles, short stories, and various sundry items. It was only after I turned 40, when I've gotten just a wee bit of life experience, that I decided to take the plunge into writing more copiously.

In addition to my writing, I was a radio DJ for YES FM, WYSZ for approximately seven years. I was a leader in Grace Community Church in Toledo, Ohio for nine years along with being on the worship team. I moved from there to another church for two and a half years where I served as the assistant music director. It was after this stint when I was compelled to form Berean Home Fellowship, a house church and is where I have been a pastor and teacher for the last three years.

My debut book is slated for release in the spring of 2012 called Stop Bringing Them to Church.
